Description

Melamine (CAS No.: 108-78-1) is a triazine-based nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound and an indispensable key chemical raw material in modern industry and daily life. Its most significant application is in the reaction with formaldehyde to produce high-performance melamine-formaldehyde resin (MF resin). This resin is characterized by high hardness, excellent heat resistance, water resistance, flame retardancy, and gloss, making it widely used in the manufacture of high-pressure decorative laminates (e.g., fireproof boards, countertops), melamine tableware, electrical appliance housings, buttons, coatings, adhesives, as well as finishing agents for textiles and paper. Furthermore, high-purity melamine is used as a highly efficient superplasticizer in the concrete industry, significantly improving the fluidity and strength of concrete. Its high nitrogen content also allows its use as a flame retardant in some polymer materials. Our product is industrial-grade melamine, typically produced via the urea process. It achieves a purity of ≥99.8%, with a bright white color, low moisture and impurity content, high reactivity, and stable quality, making it fully suitable for resin synthesis and other industrial applications. This product is a solid with relatively stable chemical properties. However, its powder can form dust clouds in air, posing an explosion hazard; dust control and ventilation are required during handling. It may cause irritation to eyes, the respiratory tract, and skin.
